Google Video Updated
Google added download support for Windows/Mac, Video iPod and Sony PSP. There’s also a ‘Purchased Videos’ link and a ‘put on site’ link that when clicked reveals an HTML code to embed the Google Video on your website.
This is how the total picture looks now :
Here you can see the download button and supported/preferred formats :
This is what you see when you click the link that says ‘Put on site’ :
You can also browse a user to find more clips from that same user. Very nifty ! Now I’m waiting for a system that allows users to rate clips and give comments, and we’re fully web 2.0 ![]()

To be honest, I’d like to see Google Video extended to some other major markets first. Right now I get this message and it is most annoying…
Thanks for your interest in Google Video.
Currently, the playback feature of Google Video isn’t available in your country.
We hope to make this feature available more widely in the future, and we really appreciate your patience.

[…] Thanks to the great Ina (you can nominate her for the Irish Blog Awards here) I learn about Videoblogging as the way to go. For example, this funny short movie about Lazy Sunday has just rocketed young (and unknown) comedians when clinging it in YouTube (we have commented about this killing videobloggin app). Similar cool iniatitives are Rocketboom or Mobuzz TV. The first one is a three minute daily videoblog based in New York City covering and creating a wide range of information and commentary from top news stories to quirky Internet culture. The second one looks like a promising mobile futurist startup broadcasting for the whole world interesting stuff via mobile phones (and it is based in Spain?). Gee, it really looks super!! Update: Google Video also offers to show videos in your Webpage and Flash Vlog aims at becoming a de-facto standard (via Mangas Verdes) […]
