Boo was a peek at the Web of the next decade.
They optimized it for 56k modems and used a Java Applet during the days of 166MHz -
to do what FLASH or AJAX does with virtually no real impact on today’s common 1.5GHz 512MB Ram PCs.
The idea was innovative, and the Lead developers and Engineers were geniuses for their creativity and foresight.
It was just a case of too much ‘developer savy’ and not enough ‘Business Savy’.
Butm interestingly enough, the very week of the companies dissolving, many of their programmers were offerred positions at other start-ups.
