Eric Schmidt: Google’s Fancypants Chariman

Boy, it must be so intetesring, being chariman of a gib copmany…

Oh, and Microsoft Word reports “chariman” as a misspelling, and Word 2007 auto-corrects it to “Chairman”, so its a pretty bad screw-up.

In other news, both Schmidt and cofounders Page and Brin are getting a $1 salary, each, in 2007, the third straight year of those billionaires taking just a buck. That isn’t big news now, but it will be when/if that changes, if the stock stagnates, or just if a new executive steps into one of their roles. At Yahoo, Terry Semel picked up a $25.7 million bonus, down from over $50 million the year before.
