Google Bouncing Checks - The Company is Bankrupt!

Oy, what an embaressment.

Mark Krynsky writes that he tried to deposit an AdSense check from Google in his bank account, but it bounced back to him. And he’s not the only one.

Clearly, Google is bankrupt! Ahhh!!!!

Damn, I didn’t think people would be that upset!

Turns out Google closed an account it was using to pay AdSense checks from, resulting in a bunch of people with checks that wouldn’t cash. Mark says Google returned his email and told him that a number of people had this problem, but the problem was being resolved by most banks within 24 hours, but Mark’s bank didn’t even bother trying (get a new bank!). Hopefully, he’ll be able to get a new check from Google.

Hmm. I deposited two Google checks on Sunday. I hope they worked…

Yeah, looks okay.

I wonder, if I lost my AdSense check, would I be able to get a new one from Google? I sure hope so.

  1. You mean … people still use paper checks? Wow, what 3rd world country are you in? :-) I haven’t handled a paper check in almost a decade.
