Google Earth Updated To 4.1

A new release of Google Earth is out, version 4.1 It adds support for the SpaceNavigator peripheral for the Mac version, a “Tip of the day” dialog (don’t worry, you can turn it off), a new starting location based on where you downloaded it from, a button to view the current location in Google Maps, a better MSI-based installation, and support for seven new languages.

There’s also a new official Google blog dealing with all things Google Earth, Google Maps, Google local search and APIs. It’s called the Google LatLong Blog, although the first blog post pretty much makes it clear it should have been called the Google Geo Blog (a much better name). Get the feed here.

  1. You should be interested in the GeoWeb 2007 conference being held in Vancouver, July 23-27. This is the 2nd conference under this name following GeoWeb 2006. It is an international meeting with people from more than 20 countries attending in 2006.
