New Ask.com Commercial: Kato
Just saw Ask.com’s new commercial during Robot Chicken, and it is far better than the “Chicks With Swords” spot, if only because it didn’t come off as misogynistic:
God, I almost forgot about old Kato. What the hell is he up to? Apparently, he’s an avid poker player and does some work for National Lampoon.
I’m actually thinking this could be a successful series of commercials, so long as they just pick good subjects to make fun of. If Crispin Porter + Bogusky need some ideas, how about a guy in a desert who searches for water, sits through the whole chorus line, and then goes, “Uh, so can I just get some water, you know, to drink?”
