Mike Gravel Speaks At Google
Google landed anothr person running for President of the United States for its Candidates@Google series, this time Mike Gravel, former Democrat Senator from Alaska. Watch the video:
Gravel’s not a major candidate, with 1%-2% of the projected primary vote, but his appearance brings forth his unique views and helps push the trend of presidential candidates appearing at Google. Previous candidates included John McCain, Hillary Clinton, Ron Paul, John Edwards, and Bill Richardson.
At the end of the day, Gravel is offering something no other candidate is: A mechanism for the people to take the reigns of government, and responsibility for their country.
Today, people don’t pay attention to the important issues because there is no point. Why pay attention when you have no say? Why pay attention when the people you vote for will just do what they want, or what their contributors want? Why pay attention when you can just blame someone else?
With the National Initiative, people will actually have the power to make the hard choices, fight corruption, and put their will over that of big money and special interests. Sure they will make mistakes at first, but unlike politicians there is no ego or electability to protect, and they can fix them!

Random has hit the nail on the head, citing the National Initiative.
Mike is also the only candidate who will actually end the war(s) and take on the military-industrial-congressional complex.
The essential ingredient is : he’s not on-the-take from all the usual sources of ‘campaign funds’ and so maintains a degree of freedom to act in the people’s interest.
It is possible to elect someone who has our interests and the interests of our nation at heart. All we have to do is work and vote for him.
