Google Annual Shareholders Meeting
Google’s annual shareholders meeting is scheduled for May 12. Google hasn’t announced it, but buygoogle.com has the info straight from the horse’s mouth. Here’s the email he got from Google, which he forwarded to me:

To: ______ <_______ @gmail.com>Thank you. Yes, we will be holding an annual shareholders meeting on May 12th here in Mountain View. Thanks both for your nice note and for your interest.
Damn. I want to go…
I guess this is as good a time to announce this as any. My paper is sending me to San Francisco in three weeks from today for four days. I’ll be arriving Thursday morning, February 24, and leaving late Sunday night, February 27. I don’t have much actual work to do while I’m there, and I’d hate to be bored the whole time (especially since free trips are supposed to be fun). I know I’ve got quite a few readers in the area, and I’d love to just do some cool stuff, maybe visit some cool companies. I wouldn’t mind going to one of those “geek dinners” Scoble keeps talking about. If you are in the area, let me know.
