Use Google Maps To Find A New Home

Paul Rademacher has put together the best application of Google Maps yet: Residential listings from Craigslist. It can be argued that finding a place to live is actually more useful than Google Maps original function, finding local stores. Once Paul integrates the satellite view, it will be perfect. Take a look at it in its buttery goodness (sorry, eating popcorn):

All you have to do is choose your city and your price range, and your map gets filled with pushpins indicating all the places you can hang your head.

I think its safe to say at this point that Google Maps is fast becoming one of Google’s more popular services. When people at work at sitting me at a computer to show off their houses from space, that’s serious market penetration. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see it taking serious market share from Mapquest and all the others. Now if only Maps could actually find my house!
