How Much Time Does Web Accelerator Save?
Have you been using Web Accelerator? Does it save you a lot of time?
Brad Hill says it saved him 4.1 seconds over the course of one hour. I have very different results:

Post your results in the comments. If you email me your bar graphs, I’ll add them to the post (just clip out the source code).

I wonder how reliable these numbers can be and how Google gets their numbers.
Comment by Philipp Lenssen | May 6, 2005
I assume Google notes how long it took them to download the page originally and how long it took them to serve it to you, and subtracts one from the other.

Oh, and sorry, guys, but Jenny’s comment is the best.

However, I have chosen to remove the URL from her post.

Joe, email me your whole chart and I’ll add it to the post, complete with a link back to your site. Same goes for anyone else. Easiest offer to get a link!

Since there are some users gathered here: Anyone had an experience like described by Nathan regarding accounts that could be deleted or accounts that kept logging out or in? I haven’t had a single one. We must try to be cautious not to jump on a bad rumour too fast. The competition of Google might be using the ‘grey’ area around the Beta to stall the release. Or something. It’s just a thought.

I have not encountered this flaw.

Would someone explain to me how they are looking at over a thousand pages in whatever timeframe and how those numbers relate to REAL time saved by the accelerator? Just because a script can pull that many pages in that amount of time means nothing in the real world.

David, I’ve got news for you: I don’t know jack s about scripts. Those are my actual browsing statistics from just two days. I’m now at 4333 pages served.

I have just installed WebAcc. and find it interferes with my being able to access my Yahoo groups …
message reports cookies are blocked.
If I disable WebAcc can once again access the groups.
Anyone else have thing problem?
