The Musical Baton
Coolz0r wants me to pass the musical baton, continuing the meme where we let everyone know about our musical tastes. Sorry I can’t be much help, since I don’t listen to a lot of music. I don’t like a whole lot of new music, choosing to search among classic rock to make me happy. Big fan of The Who, Zeppelin, Steppenwold, AC/DC, Skynyrd, Blue Oyster Cult, and the few modern bands that have a nice sound, like Fuel and Green Day. I also have a perverse attraction to 80’s pop rock, and can be sometimes obsessed with pissed-off rap and death metal, depending on the day of the week.
Still, I don’t pay much attention to music, and haven’t touched my 7 gigs of MP3s in months. Yeah, that’s right. I haven’t listened to any music in about two months. I really just don’t need music much. My iPod Shuffle is continuously refilled with Opie & Anthony shows, which eat up four hours out of my day, and make me quite happy, and make music unnecessary.
I’m willing to bet you readers have more interesting musical tastes, so take the baton and trackback (or comment) here, so everybody can compare.

I’m kinda like you Nathan, music isn’t really my thing. I prefer to listen to NPR when I’m in my car, and to nothing at all when I’m not.
But I wanted to have a blog about music, so I got a friend to give it a try. He’s been doing a good job so far with a bunch of stuff I’ve never heard of but like.
Check it out

The Musical Baton
Seems like pretty good taste for someone who doesn’t listen to much music, especially if it includes Green Day….

Wow, check out that trackback! A music blog actually impressed by my taste in music. I think the reason my music gets good marks is because, since I listen so infrequently, I only listen to the absolute best music. You should see my iPod Shuffle, filled with 700 megs of the best classic rock songs of all time.

[…] This morning just before I left for school, I saw Nathan has posted his ’some sort of baton’ too. I thought he’d be rockin’ it old school, and that seems to be sort of confirmed now. What about The Velvet Underground ? I bet you could dig that. I’m going to check the Blue Oyster thing, because I’ve never heard of that band before. […]
