Yahoo Testing Behavior Targeted Advertising

By Nathan Weinberg

Coolz0r links to an AdWeek article that says Yahoo is working with Behavioral Science to create ads that are targeted to a user's behavior. Very cool idea. MSN is looking to leverage its massive network to do something similar.

As good a time as any to note I just got my press invite to AD:TECH New York, November 7-9 at the Hilton. I know its probably far too early for many people to have registered, but if anyone plans on attending, let me know. Should be some great online advertising-related speakers and sessions there.

Yahoo Testing Behavior Targeting Of Ads

Spotted via InsideGoogle, Yahoo Tests Behavior-Based Content Ads from AdWeek covers Yahoo testing ad placement on web pages outside of Yahoo own site through behavioral tracking, in a partnership with Behavioral Science. It’s not clear how the system …

Re: “Yahoo Testing Behavior Targeting Of Ads”…

If you employ the old ways, you’ll find yourself digging Yahoo’s grave…

I discovered a whole new psychology of the mind and spirit… I see that Yahoo needs to employ this modern mind technology to really make a dent in our synthetic reality…
Any less is like regurgitating 2000-year old cud, to chew in a slightly different way…

    I’ll trade you…
You publish my books, and I’ll kick you up another rung… if you really want to do up ads that touch the spirit, and not just the subconscious parts tied into the conscious…

Point is… If you use any of the old methods in your new advertising, it will hold you at a 7% ceiling… And, If you evolve the bad ways, it will hit the public so hard, they won’t know they been hit for several years, till the Kalidescope twitches… but when they do figure it out, Yahoo would thus be in serious big societal dodo…

Would you like to see 8% …?
Do you want to rock google’s, mamma’s, and msn’s boats…?
Today’s Ads must be written to the “Aquarian Age” people.. to people’s life essence, to their spirits, in absolute dignity and respect of all people’s feelings, emotions, wavering opinions, and fears…
In other words.. “Honesty”, or not at all…

We’re in the proverbial “Aquarian Age”… It’s just that most of us haven’t caught-on yet…
