Disputed Google Executive Hard At Work

Todd Bishop reports that Kai-Fu Lee, the Microsoft exec who jumped ship to a major position at Google China, is already settling in to his new role at the search company. This despite the fact that Microsoft is suing Google and Lee, citing a non-compete clause and confidential trade secrets Lee has. You’d think Microsoft would have procured as part of the lawsuit a court order preventing Lee from working at Google until the dispute is resolved.

    Seriously, there’s so much potential money to be made in serving Chinese Internet users that any fines or court orders will just be little bumps on the road to the gold rush.
