Google Automat Images
Here are some images of Google Automat from the patent filing. Read the previous post to get caught up.
This is the login screen for Automat. The description reads:
It’s easy to get started - just type in the name, description, and price of what you’re selling, and how you want buyers to contact you. We’ll automatically create a Google AdWord for you, and host a web page that provides the full listing of your item.
On this page, you enter your title, product description, price and contact info. No place for an image, but presumably Automat will/would add that feature later.
This page is where AdWords are created. You enter your three-line ad, a cost per click, and your daily budget.
Here’s an Automat AdWords ad. You’ll notice three items of interest: The ad domain is listed as classifieds.google.com. The ad has an “Interest” meter below it, presumably indicating how many people want the product. Finally, the Google interface pictures is an old one, which Google hasn’t had in over a year. This makes sense, since the patent filing was on March 24, 2004, and Google changed the interface on March 29.
This is the page people see when they click through the ad.

Oh boy…another place that google is encroaching. Amazon must be keeping their eyes on this one. If google begins their payment service, it’s only a matter of time until they process the actual sale, and then take a commission plus other expenses on top of the google ad. This would be similar to amazon’s “sell your stuff here” excluding the ads part. I guess google didn’t like that amazon started their own search engine.

Does anyone actually look at ads? The last time i’ve seen adsense-ads must be over a year ago.

I guess it’s a good alternative for e-bay. The practice will show if it is also a cheaper way of selling your goods. When you sell you goods with a fixed price (and not to high) this could be a faster and cheaper way the the normal auction site like eBay.
I will give it a try!!

I think it will be a great place to market my diesel generators to everyone all over the world. I find a great demand seasonally for the Isuzu, Yanmar and Kubota diesel generators this may keep me going strong all year long !
