No Google Calendar Yet
Andy Beal talks about how the Google Calendar never arrived as rumored at the When 2.0 conference. Doesn’t mean it might not come tomorrow, just that it didn’t come at When 2.0. He quotes SiliconBeat:
We popped into the When 2.0 Conference today, where Google was rumored to be unveiling Google Calendar. Twas not to be. In fact, a Google rep got up to ask one of the panels a question and specifically said he was not there to make product announcements.
Well, at least I got Digg’d. I might add, all the statements about Digg users not clicking ads are completely true. Its not often traffic quadruples and ad revenues increase by ten bucks.
UPDATE: Dear other bloggers: Google is releasing a calendar app, according to all indications. Calling it a hoax, or even worse, saying that SiliconBeat called it a hoax, doesn’t speak well to your competency as a reporter.
