Antonella Pavese, after discovering how few people seem to be in the world of Google Earth, is trying to see just how many people can be found in the satelite imagery. So far, the best luck has been in football stadiums. You can actually see the Seahawks in the middle of a game!

I’ve actually been thinking about that. Particularly how there are never any clouds, except in the most remote areas.
I wonder if there are algorithms that compare multiple shots of an area and edit out all of the details which change from shot to shot. By default then, that which remains is merely geography.

Sorry Brock, that can’t work.
Like Punxatawney Phil, I definately see a shadow in the above picture… Shadows change, so they should be edited out. Anyway, there’s a match going on, so these people should be moving around (changing) too, and thus be edited out.
No, picking the right stuff is prolly just a hand job.

The logo in the center of the field indicates that it’s a college game, in particular the team from Washington State University.
