Exclusive Screenshots Of Google Calendar / CL2

A reader passed along these screenshots of Google Calendar (code-named CL2). I’m not going to speak towards their authenticity, just pass ‘em along to you guys.
Lets say these are the real thing. If so, we’re seeing some tight integration between Gmail and the Calendar; in fact, it looks like the Calendar is a part of Gmail, and not a seperate product. Interesting stuff.
I wouldn’t mind some more screenshots…
UPDATE Another screenshot!
This one bears some explanation, as it’s a CL2 feature that hasn’t been discussed anwhere I’ve seen. When you enter the location in for an event in the calendar, a link appears that takes you to a Google map. Let’s hope Google tries to integrate with all our favorite services.
Yeah, looks like the source on this one is the real deal.

I have seen the above screen shots intergrated into a friend’s Gmail account…I’m no authority, but I’m confirming their real.

Looks great, and if it is real then even better, I read somewhere I think Matt Cutts blog that Google is going a sigles site called Google Romance any word about that?
Comment by Stephanie | April 10, 2006
Really. it is getting too old now. Calendar being their greatest rumored product in the last year. And Google still hasn’t delivered it. It is past its sell-by date.
Google sure has lost most of its mojo. It is not even exciting anymore. Calendar. Doh!

30Boxes creates a link to Google Maps when you enter an address as part of an event. It’s pretty handy.

I’m really looking forward to this product and get more excited each time there is a leak. Hopeful there will be this kind of integration with Writely to.

It’s about time! I’ve been waiting for this for a while now…would’ve thought Google would get it out pretty quickly if it’s integrated with Gmail. Great news…thanks!

When Google decides to ‘pony up’ some money and buy Plaxo - that’s when I’ll really get interested. We need Google to buy Plaxo and that will allow Plaxo to be ‘polished’ some more into an app that we really can’t do without.

Kiko calendar is a cool calendar with a slick AJAX interface and lots of sharing / web 2.0 features.

Looks promising. Thanks.

The longer they drag on with this one, the more it starts to look like vaporware, which is very un-Google.
Google’s strength was always that it’d take a half-baked product, slap a “beta” product on it and then add features/fix bugs as they go. From the screenshots it seems like they’ve already got something ready to go - what’s the hold up?
Comment by Eric | April 11, 2006
Eric,
My guess would be the calendar itself won’t be as complicated as the ability to share specific items with other users, and this is probably what’s causing the delay.

Trumba not only creates a link to a Google Map, it also will figure out the address of a named location and create maps in any of several mapping services.

Jeremy, I said “a CL2 feature”. Most of the things in Google Calendar have been done before, and I’m sure your company (I assume you work for them) has a great product. I’m just delivering the news on Google’s calendar. When Google’s hits, send me a pitch, and I’ll review your service too.
