MySpace Negotiating For Cushy Google/MSN Search Deal

MSNBC reports that MySpace is looking to sign an exclusive deal to provide search to their site, either with Google or Microsoft. The deal would be to provide internet search on MySpace.com, with the two sides splitting ad revenues.

This is a very significant development to follow, after Hitwise revealed earlier this month that 8.19% of incoming traffic to Google is from MySpace. If Microsoft wins that traffic, you can’t underestimate what a huge boost that will be. Google does not want to lose that.

  1. All the best for the collaboration. Looking forward to something much better than the existing site.
