Oh, Just Say It!
Color me stupid, but why is it that every replacement host for Rocketboom being discussed is blond, thin, and, oh yeah, female? As a reporter, you’re either judged on your skills, or not at all, and if all you bring to the table is your hair, your weight, and your genitals, then I just don’t get the point.
Personally, I recommend Nick Douglas of Valleywag. I don’t care if he’s 400 pounds, has a horse face, is bald, and actually is a woman, too! His blog has style and some good reporting, and if that isn’t what you look for in a news program host, what is?
It’s that sex appeal thing onscreen, mon. But this is supposed to be videoblogging and different than Hollywood and TV … doesn’t seem like that’s the case, though.
