Google Dirtbike Video
YouTube has a pretty well rendered video of a dirtbike leaping over the Google homepage.
It gets kind of repetitive, and the announcers are a bit strange, but I still like the video on some level. Worth the minute+.
Valleywag mistakenly reports (sorry, Nick) that Google actually did this on their homepage last week. Besides nitpicky technical reasons that isn’t true (the tabs are all wrong), the main reason I know it didn’t happen is because: It didn’t happen. No one saw it happen, Google never mentioned it, no one blogged it. In fact, there is a really poorly done YouTube video that tries to “prove” that it is legit, but forgets that the original video portrays Google as it appears on a PC, and the “proof” video is taken off a Mac.
