Okay, Lets Make A Deal: You Don’t Promote Copyright Violations, And I Don’t Call You A Hypocrite
Okay, I get it, YouTube and Google Video have content that violates copyrights, and that will never change. To be reasonable, I won’t make a big deal of it, although I may point it out once in a while. However, this is too much: The official Google Video blog is now linking to videos ripped from Family Guy! What, did you not get the memo that Family Guy is a television series? Is there a secret Google deal with Seth MacFarlane? Did UpYourVideo.net buy News Corp. from Rupert Murdoch before they uploaded the clip?
Jeez, could you at least not publicize the fact? C’mon, be smart about this stuff!
Oh, and here’s the video:
Pretty funny.
As an aside, Opie and Anthony (the popular radio show heard by over a million listeners every morning on CBS and XM Radio) got kicked from YouTube. Their violation: uploading a clip of themselves on David Letterman. Jeez. 300 clips, subscribed to by a ton of fans, all deleted in an instant because they threw up a video of themselves! Maybe YouTube needs to have an undelete function for when a professional gets kicked?

Maybe you could file one of those Google take-down requests against Google!
