Google Finance Gets New Features

Google Finance 0.2 just launced, with a few new features, as readers of this blog should have expected. They are:

The chart timeline selector, which lets you choose the date range for stock charts, is now below the chart, instead of above it. Also, notice the new Zoom links, which get you instantly to certain time scales.

Compare feature, which lets you put up to 14 stocks on a single chart and compare them over any time range.

A settings button, letting you turn off the news flags that show you when news events happened (and link to the articles on the right side, the new dividend and stock split flags, the trading volume, the default time scale, and whether the vertical scaling should be specific or the max value.
